The European Wave and Tidal Energy Conference (EWTEC) series are international, technical and scientific conferences, focussed on ocean renewable energy and widely respected for their commitment to maintain high standards in the quality of academic and industrial contributions to their proceedings.

ISSN: 2706-6940 (online) 2706-6932 (CD-ROM) 2706-6932 (Print)

EWTEC provides a forum where those at the forefront of technology development in the sector meet, interact, present their latest knowledge and debate new ideas and issues pertinent to wave and tidal energy conversion. It thus provides attendees with a perfect forum for knowledge transfer and debate at the cutting edge of marine renewable energy technology.
The conferences are the pre-eminent global pedagogic and scholarly events dealing with wave and tidal energy conversion and provide global focus for all activities in wave and marine current energy conversion technologies, research, development and demonstration.

Statement regarding indexing of EWTEC publications

In 2020, EWTEC successfully applied for Scopus indexing of the EWTEC proceedings, starting from 2021 onwards. Application for retrospective indexing of previous conferences will take place once EWTEC2021 is uploaded to Scopus. In a separate development, EWTEC’s International Marine Energy Journal (IMEJ) has been accepted for Scopus, however the process is slightly different for Journals than conferences and it will take longer for IMEJ to appear in the Scopus database. IMEJ has also been accepted for indexing in DOAJ and is searchable through their web site. EWTEC is a member of Crossref and has the ability to assign DOIs to articles. This is already being carried out for IMEJ articles (EWTEC is the publisher of IMEJ) and will be applied to EWTEC 2021 articles. Similarly to Scopus indexing, the intention is to retrospectively add DOIs to past EWTEC proceedings’ articles, but this represents significant work and will take time.
